Apps that work with Ward

Connect any of these and Ward will pass along how you are feeling — never more than you allow, and never anything about what you do.

Apps that can receive your context

Tonight

Writes a small collection called Tonight to the user's own self-hosted Plex Media Server, chosen from their own library according to their current emotional state. Reads read:current_state on demand when the user opens the connector and once each evening on a schedule; never polls. Holds a Plex credential which is never sent to Ward, and never sends any emotional state to Plex. Stores no emotional state at rest.

It would ask for:

What it would never receive
  • Anything worked out from your body — heart rate, sleep, or anything else measured rather than told. Ward never passes those on to apps outside Empathics, and never passes on the measurements themselves to anyone.
  • Moments Ward protects: acute distress, grief, feeling vulnerable, feeling defeated, or anything indicating a health condition. Ward withholds those from this app, and the app cannot tell the difference between a withheld moment and an ordinary quiet one.
  • Anything about what you do in this app, or in any other. Ward carries feelings, not behaviour.
Connect Tonight

This opens Tonight, which asks Ward for permission itself and sends you straight back here to decide what it may ask for. Nothing is shared until you agree to it.

Apps that can provide your context

Moods

Empathics relationship-awareness app; first registered source and reference implementation

Uses measurements from your body as well as what you tell it. Ward never passes those on to apps outside Empathics.

Connect Moods

Only apps that have completed Ward's 30-day sandbox appear here. An app still in sandbox can only connect to test accounts, so listing it would be a button that refuses everyone who presses it.
